Our Vision
To build a healthy community that desires to follow Jesus in every part of our lives — by being with Jesus, becoming like Jesus, and doing what Jesus did.
Who We Are
Bright City is a young, Jesus-centered church plant that launched in Sunbury, Ohio in January 2025. We’re here because we want to help more people experience life in Jesus. We meet Sundays at 9AM at Big Walnut Intermediate School.
Our vision is to build a healthy community that desires to follow Jesus in every part of life — by being with Jesus, becoming like Jesus, and doing what Jesus did. We want to join in what God’s already doing and contribute to the good of the Big Walnut community.
Grow in faith and friendship, and live life on mission together. Find a community to join today!
Ready to explore what it means to be a part of the Bright City family? The Table is your next step to discover the mission, heartbeat, and family culture of our church.
Join Pastor Josh & Sarah Taylor for lunch, meet others in the community, and connect in a relaxed setting. You’ll hear how you can belong, contribute, and grow in your faith here. Lunch and childcare provided.
Sunday, November 2 from 11AM - 1:30PM at the Taylor’s Home
There’s a seat at the table for you!

2025 Bible Reading Plan
BREAD is a 365 day plan with small sections of Scripture assigned each day. It has been organized thematically and can be started, paused, or restarted on any day.
The acronym BREAD (which stands for Be Still, Read, Encounter, Apply, Devote) is a method for meeting with God in the pages of the Bible — a modern take on the ancient practice of “lectio divina.”
